The Photon Raiders was formed in March of 2005 by =TPR=Arma as a Star Wars Battlefront clan and since then we have gone from strength to strength, expanding into multiple games including Eve Online, Battelefield 2/2142 and now Battlefield:Bad Company 2.
Going from a disorganized bunch of noobs to a clan with regular, fully organized tournaments, battles and in-clan ladders, from depending on a member to host a server (affectionately known as the Dutch connection) to having our own ranked dedicated servers and Ventrilo server, and from getting slaughtered in every clan battle to being an increasing threat, even to some of the best clans out there. For us the only way is forward.
Early on we decided that we didn’t want to be the highest ranked clan. We just wanted to do things for the pure fun of it and have a laugh together. So if you have a sense of humor and for you, the only way is forward, maybe TPR is for you. If not, then we hope that you enjoy the site.

March 5th 2010
Yes ladies and Gents....
March 5th 2010 is a day to look out for. as =TPR= will be launching their Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Server
In anticipation of teh release of Battlefield:Bad Company 2, and the success the beta has been for a numbe rof members.
There is now a ne Public Forum for all things Battlefield:Bad Company 2, along with the =TPR= Only Battlefield:Bad Company 2 Private sections of the the forum.
Hot off the heels of Left 4 Dead 2, it seems as if another boycott is looming on the horizon, and unlike the last one, this is a bit more justified. Following evil Activision's decision to raise the price of Modern Warfare 2 to £54.99 in the UK, angered British gamers are venting spleen and sharing one common sentiment -- that they will not bend over and let Bobby Kotick's gold-plated [censored] shaft them with the fury of a thousand Suns.
Backlash over the price hike is being felt across the Internet. Just recently, TotalGamingNetwork found that 68% of its PC using readership has decided not to support the publisher, and our very own Destructoid forums have seen their own movement against Modern Warfare 2. Talk from online British gamers is bitter wherever you look, and it's hardly surprising.
However, in a manner similar to the L4D2 controversy, it's highly doubtful that any official boycott will make a significant impact on MW2's sales. One would assume that Activision has anticipated resentment from fans, and yet believes that the price hike will recoup any potential lost sales, meaning that no harm will be felt.
Frankly, what Activision is doing is disgusting, and I really hope that MW2 meets with as little success as possible in the United Kingdom. However, no boycott will ever decide the game's fate. It's in the hands of the mainstream gaming audience, and I really do have little faith in those guys.
